Through the free of charge downloadable Sonos smartphone app for iOS or Android you can configure the soundbar, listen to Internet radio and browse your (online) music library.

If you like to stream music directly from your favorite smartphone app, you can do this easily with Airplay 2 using an Apple device. No smartphone at hand? Quickly control the Sonos Five by using the touch-sensitive buttons on top of the cabinet. Do you want to playback a vinyl album, this Sonos Five is also equipped with a useful 3,5mm line input. These brilliant features make this Sonos Five a powerhouse in many ways.

Blueprint for usability
When placed horizontally, the Sonos Five acts as a stereo loudspeaker with an impressively spacious music playback. The left and right channels are radiated sideways for un ultra-spacious stereo sound. In addition, voices are forwardly projected for a more realistic music experience. If you prefer a deeper and more powerful bass, you can effortlessly combine this Sonos Five with the 3rd generation Sonos Sub.

If you own two Sonos Five loudspeakers, you can configure them as two separate multiroom speakers or as a stereo pair in a matter of seconds. All you have to do is position the speakers upright and select both speakers in the Sonos app as a stereo pair. Placed upright, both speakers deliver a more precise and detailed sound experience. If you own a Sonos Arc Dolby Atmos soundbar, you can even configure a pair of Sonos Five speakers as dedicated surround speakers. This is the ultimate convenience of Sonos.
