This all-in-one product features a streamer, DAC, and amplifier. The DAC uses the flagship chip from Sabre, the ES9038PRO, and that is paired with a Class AD amplifier, delivering detail and power extremely efficiently.
In addition to great sound, HiFi Rose is known for its impeccable build quality, and the RS250 is no exception with its housing of 6000 aluminum that's carefully designed to shield from EMI and RFI, and to dissipate vibration.
The 12.6" wide LCD touchscreen offers detailed and intuitive control over every aspect of the system, and also offers a range of displays. The interactive equalizer is especially cool! Use the ROSE Connect app to control everything remotely. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connections are available with support for Airplay and DLNA.
The DAC supports up to 768 kHz, 32 bit PCM, and DSD 512. The Class D amplifier circuits use a gallium nitride FET to dramatically reduce the "dead time" that switching circuits are known for.

The device is good quality and it sounds really great. But it has two issues.
You cannot switch between L/R channels. It lowers both channels volume. The issue is mentioned on FiiO website.
It has LineOut function, where device is playing on max volume and you can use your computer volume bar, but it is so loud that even on the lowest set it is screaming, so you have to choose another option and adjust volume on FiiO device instead.
I wish I knew it before buying.

Since I've moved from PC to laptop I had hard time with the sound. Both quality and volume. Fiio KA17 came as decent solution. It's really compact, easy to use and good priced. I found it a bit tricky to deal with setting on KA17, but as external audio source for headphones it shines. Sound is clear and distinctive. KA17 can drive even my Sennhieser HD598 headphones although I suppose full size earphones not the best choice for dongle. As to KZ IEM range performance is excellent.
