De GS3000e is de beste houten hoofdtelefoon die Grado Labs tot nu toe heeft gebouwd. Door Cocobolo voor het eerst in een grote behuizing te gebruiken, heeft deze Grado een van de rijkste geluiden die we ooit hebben geproduceerd.
Cocobolo vind je in Midden-Amerika en bruist, net als de muziek daar, van textuur en emotie. Wat werd ontdekt door het gebruik van dit hout in de GH2 en de vlaggenschip-phonocartridge-broers en zussen, de Epoch en Aeon, is voor het eerst overgebracht naar het Statement Series-proces. Dit is de meest complete Cocobolo-body die we ooit hebben gebouwd, en de GS3000e past daar perfect bij.
Omdat we de eerste hoofdtelefoon uit de Statement Series zijn die Cocobolo gebruikt, hebben we onze kenmerkende drivers van 50 mm zorgvuldig afgestemd om niet alleen te profiteren van het grotere geluidsbeeld, maar ook om het diepe en impactvolle muzikale karakter van dit unieke hout te omarmen. Cocobolo blijft een van de favoriete houtsoorten van de familie om mee te werken.

The device is good quality and it sounds really great. But it has two issues.
You cannot switch between L/R channels. It lowers both channels volume. The issue is mentioned on FiiO website.
It has LineOut function, where device is playing on max volume and you can use your computer volume bar, but it is so loud that even on the lowest set it is screaming, so you have to choose another option and adjust volume on FiiO device instead.
I wish I knew it before buying.

Since I've moved from PC to laptop I had hard time with the sound. Both quality and volume. Fiio KA17 came as decent solution. It's really compact, easy to use and good priced. I found it a bit tricky to deal with setting on KA17, but as external audio source for headphones it shines. Sound is clear and distinctive. KA17 can drive even my Sennhieser HD598 headphones although I suppose full size earphones not the best choice for dongle. As to KZ IEM range performance is excellent.
